Miley Cyrus Revisits ‘Hannah Montana’ in 20th Anniversary Special Trailer

In the clip, Cyrus can be seen visiting some of the series’ recreated sets, with her mother, Tish Cyrus. “I’m already getting emotional,” she notes. Cyrus’ dad, Billy Ray Cyrus , who played her father in Hannah Montana , also make an appearance. “This feels like home to me,” Cyrus says while sitting in the recreated family living room from the show.

Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special was filmed in front of a live studio audience and hosted by Alex Cooper. It features an in-depth interview with Cyrus, as well as never-before-seen archival footage. “This show defined your generation,” Cooper says in the trailer. Cyrus responds, “This anniversary is for them. It’s for us.” Disney seemed to hint that Cyrus might perform some old Hannah Montana tracks, too, with the press release reading: “There will also be some familiar notes that find their way back into the spotlight.” Some of Hannah’s biggest hits were “Nobody’s Perfect,” “Supergirl,” and “If We Were a Movie.” Hannah Montana ran for four seasons, from 2006 to 2011.
