Barry Manilow Announces First New Album in 15 Years, Shares Single ‘Sun Shine’

Barry Manilow will release What a Time , his first new album in nearly 15 years, on June 5. The album was produced by Manilow and his longtime collaborator Michael Lloyd, and marks Manilow’s 33rd studio album and his first almost all-original LP since 2011’s 15 Minutes . The 13-track LP features collaborations with Kenneth “ Babyface ” Edmonds, Dave Cobb, and the musician’s longtime co-writers Bruce Sussman and Adrienne Anderson.

Manilow shared the first single, “Sun Shine,” which was written by Manilow and Gary Barlow and produced by Manilow, David Benson, and Greg Bartheld. What a Time opens with previously-released single “Once Before I Go,” a love song executive-produced by Clive Davis and co-written by Dean Pitchford and Peter Allen. The album also includes a duet with Sharon “Muffy” Hendrix and an appearance by Dave Koz.
