Jack White Slams Trump’s Signature on U.S. Dollars Amid America’s Rising Cost of Living
Jack White has once again taken to social media to denounce President Donald Trump and his administration. On Friday, the musician criticized the U.S. Treasury Department’s plans to put Trump’s signature on all new U.S. paper currency. Traditionally, U.S. dollars feature only the signatures of the Treasury Secretary and the Treasurer, and this will mark the first time a sitting president’s signature has appeared on paper notes.
“Oh how humble!” White mockingly wrote in a lengthy Instagram post, before suggesting Trump use his “small hands to sign into law that your oh so stern orange face appears on the front of the hundred dollar bill as well.” White slammed the move in part because the announcement comes as everyday Americans struggle amid rising costs of living.
