Olivia Dean’s ‘Man I Need’ Closes In On Australian Chart Record
It’s official: Olivia Dean is standing on Australia’s all-time chart podium. The newly-minted breakthrough artist winner at the Grammy Awards holds top spot on the ARIA Albums Chart with The Art Of Loving , for its 10 th non-consecutive weeks at No. 1. At the same time, “Man I Need” retains top spot on the ARIA Singles Chart for the 16th consecutive week.
The English singer and songwriter is nipping at the heels of Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” (from 2025) and The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber’s “Stay” (2021-22), which are tied in second place on the all-time list, each with 17 weeks at No. 1. “Man I Need” is still some distance behind the greatest of all time, Tones And I’s “Dance Monkey,” which logged 24 non-consecutive weeks at No.
1 in 2019-2020. Whatever happens, Dean’s reign on the ARIA Chart is the longest by a Brit. “Man I Need” leads three Olivia Dean top 10 hits on the latest chart, published Friday, March 6, ahead of “Rein Me In” with Sam Fender, which holds at No. 2, and “So Easy (To Fall In Love),” down 3-4.
Alysa Liu played a hand in ensuring Dean didn’t dominate the top 3. The gold medal skater’s now-viral moment at the Winter Olympic Exhibition Gala gives a bump to PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson’ 2025 song “Stateside,” up 11-3 for a new peak position. PinkPantheress’ Fancy That , meanwhile, glides 39-6 on the albums chart, for a new peak position.
